Thank you for speaking this out! When you have a look at internet comments on any kind of piece about drugs, even people arguing against the war on drugs often refer to addicts that would be better off with less repression.

Most people seem to underestimate how common drug use really is - throughout all social classes - and fail to realize that the overwhelming majority of drug users are still functioning members of society. People who successfully pursue their careers, people who go to university and get their degree, people who spend time with family and friends just like anybody else.

i think part of the problem is it brings to light how many people actually don't do anything productive with their free time anyway so the drugs are just a more self destructive way to waste their life therefore highlighting the worst qualities of both parties

Alcohol is not perceived as a drug in the UK at all, it is obviously but most people here would flat out deny alcohol is a "drug" at all

Dude like yeah. Its actually kinda stupid. I have heard my parents talk and talk about drugs. They say that weed will lead to heroin and that even trying it out once can be the ''end of you". Its stupid. I've been smoking weed for like a year and i am 17. 2 days ago i tried mdma. Bro i am not a junky and i havent smoked weed in many months. They grew up in different times and they just cant understand it.

i must dissagree ... i tried lot of drugs and 0 of them helped me to live a better life (not talking about psychadelics) ... every drug i tryed just show me some new feelings and toughts that make my life whitout drugs a little more boring ... it might be just personal but i think it is not ... just people lying to themselfs “its not affecting me in any kind of way”
