The Wimmera Southern Mallee Health Alliance (WSMHA) has had some great successes in increasing Telehealth opportunities in the Wimmera especially in the areas of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Oncology consultations. The Alliance is committed to extending telehealth consultations to other specialist areas.
We’ve developed an ‘animated’ resource to encourage more specialists to think about using telehealth for Wimmera patients. The idea is for this to be loaded up onto health service websites so that staff can direct any specialists to see how easy telehealth can be….and to showcase the benefits for patients who have to travel far to access specialist services.
