Chris Whaley, former pro wrestler, has been beaten up by the biggest men in the world, has gone 65 years without seeing the full spectrum of colors.

One thing I have learned about tough guys: They are typically bottling up so many emotions, that once that wall breaks their emotional response is deeper and stronger than that of those who show emotions more openly. My stoic brother has always been bad at school/studying. For him, getting his current degree took getting up at 5AM-6AM to study for years while his siblings sailed through their studies with little commitment. He would study 3 weeks for one test, fail, and do it again. He never complained. Never said anything. He even had us convinced that he is a person who does not worry but just keeps going. But when graduation day came he broke down so violently that I realized just how much he had us all fooled.

I look at these vids and just realise how blessed we all are. Imagine going through life not being able to distinguish colors as they are. Just like the folk doing cochlear implants, it has to be massively heart warming to work for a company that design and manufacture these enchroma glasses and know what a difference it will make to individuals out there.
