I'm very satisfied with the quality of these speakers. Which is why I can't believe that some of the comments here are negative reviews. I've used my new mackies for over 15 indoor/outdoor performances this year so far and have displayed flawless quality and outstanding continous power! I also have the matching subs for live bands and dj'ing, mid-sized venues no problem. I am a sound man, I am also a drummer and have used both electronic and acoustic drums through the Mackie set-up and received amazing results and compliments.

Can you open this up and tell us What brand LF drivers Mackie be using in these Thump range? Is it no name? What specs and parameters would a replacement LF driver need to have?

Got mine for 200$ a piece used. Very satisfied with the sound. Definitely not 1000w, but powerful enough for a medium size crowd. Nice bass, but will clip if you use the low end too much.

Fitted with a car stereo amplifier chip rated at 100 watts rms at 4 ohms, thats the truth i have repaired several and another last night srm350 also same cheap car ic amp.

I bought 2 of them and I'm verry disapointment...I'm goig to cry..they are in reality 200w

unfortunately they are nice, the sound its good but the true power is  150-200 W RSM and they have very low  SPL 
...this is for stupid kid only
