I really appreciate this video. I've come back to it a couple times because I was recently in an environment where gossip was happening but people weren't addressing it because they were trying to retain "confidentiality" by not naming their sources, and this video does a great job of showing how that is actually unhealthy communication.

I like this approach, but obviously having to muster up the courage to tackle gossip in this manner is easier said than done. It's been years since I've had to deal with this either personally and/or professionally. Prior to watching this video, I'm sure I would have complained to the person telling what they heard, but would not have confronted the "story teller" directly. Now if I ever encounter this, I may just give it a try.

I enjoy this video series. In this example, I wonder if that level of confrontation would just cause more resentment? I imagine having a discussion like that with ppl at work about smt said would have everyone acting politely but be more disgruntled afterwards.
