Just a clarification...

While all female thespids are apterous, males are brachypterous (Bistanta) or macropterous (Thespis and Thesprotia), being capable of flight.

Mantidae I believe is polyphyletic, the north American representatives are Stagmomantines (should be its own family in a few years, mark my words) and Vatines (the unicorns) and two invasive genera (Mantis - Mantinae and Tenodera - Tenoderinae).

You missed Amelidae, these are small, grey to grayish brown ground-dwelling mantises, they are mostly found in the southwest.
