That's basically the same than ice swimming in winter (although you don't need sauna for that). It's a popular thing here in Finland, ice swimming and sauna! I use to do it when I was younger but it has been years since the last time.

I did hear years ago that yoir not to plunge yourself in really cold water if you have a heart problem .It was in a Centre Parcs and they wouldn't let me do contrast therapy.I haven't checked to see if this is right.Did it help you ?
