Man this is crazy, and I've never seen geckos as nice as mine in a pet shop again since but I bought (unknowingly) a tremper super giant from my local pet shop for 45$ last year. He is 1 yr old 9.5 inches and 102grams. I DO NOT power feed him and man this gecko sheds 2wice a month. It was him and a bell albino in the same enclosure and I bought both. I knew something was different after about 4 months when I noticed the tremper was shedding double and growing double. I have them in separate enclosures. Can't believe I got that lucky. Sahyu is a Petco buy (who failed so hard that I felt a kindred spirit in her. I know petco buys generally are a bad idea.) that is 10 inches and down to 84g after ovulating since July. -_-' She does this every year. Gonna have to pester her into eating SOMETHING soon, her tail is starting to look like a non-leo tail. So far have been tricking her into mleming vitamin powder, but she's smart. Did NOT expect her to get so big! XD I used to call her Runty ironically enough. Jokes on me, she grew.

My boy is 10.5 inches long and 102g. @9.5 months old. His parents were both normals.

There is a chance that it could happen. Just like two normal sized humans having a dwarf child. So the theory you have may perhaps be pertaining to "first purchase".

I didn't expect Bubba to get this large, but he's healthy (tail is not wider than his head, and no bubbles in the arms. Super active, and refuses to over eat.

I know Ron Tremper had a Moose line Giant or Super Giant and did a project with another breeder and came up with another line from another breeder m or f he calls the line Godzilla line
