I honestly feel bad for the teacher. She didn’t deserve to get caught up in this.

The person I feel the most sympathy for is the poor teacher who got swept up in the mess. She was just doing her job and didn't deserve it.

Falsely accusing a Teacher of statutory rape is never just a harmless prank.

It's not that it was "vulgar". It was defamatory. HUGE difference.

Oh, if only they worked this hard against real bullying and abuse in schools 🙄

A woman I know worked as a middle school teacher. A girl made up a rumor that she verbally abused her. This teacher had done everything for that school, working late hours for her students not only grading, but making up fun activities and setting up dancies for everyone to enjoy. She was never appreciated enough. And when they investigated, of course they found out it was a lie. But still, that school never appreciated her enough.

She moved to teaching younger kids recently, and although she was tired she said she loved it. Ever since she quit teaching at that school her life has been nothing but ups, and I hope it stays that way. She deserves it. She's a wonderful woman and I wish her nothing but the best.

Dude’s defence was straight-up “it’s just a prank bro”.

If he was a minor, it wasn't just damaging her reputation. He would have wrongly suggested she committed a crime.

This entire situation is insane. There's a rumor circulating that he kissed a teacher. As a teacher, I don't know where they live, but making false comments like that could lead to an investigation of the teacher. I don't think it's right to spread lies and possibly jeopardize someone's career. But that's just my opinion.

What about the right of the teacher to not be accused of making out with a student? Was she awarded money?

People seem to forget that freedom of speech doesn’t mean free of consequences.

If he woulda said, "totally, yeah... " it wouldve been seen more sarcastically

Suing for being defamed for defaming others. He should have never won and that teacher should get the money for the real damage he caused.
