Thoughts:

Hoo boy where to start... There are i-frames on almost everything he has, the spells are basically instant, and he has a like 3-frame startup "hug of death" move that hurts like you wouldn't believe.
Luckily, if you start a combo with a crit, you can combo him for ages. The tricky part is getting the crit, as he's very likely to attack you as you approach and then immediately run away.
After many tries and a couple of loud internal "FUCK"s, he went down.

Welp, that's it folks. The final boss of the Graces main arc has been defeated.
It's been a ride, and a very enjoyable one at that. Graces has once again reminded me why I love it so much, despite its ups-and-downs.
I very very much enjoyed making this run, and I hope you all enjoyed watching it.

Coming up next is the commentary video for the run, which should hopefully be out before the end of October. It shouldn't take too long to make, but I need to write down some notes and refresh my memory on all the fights, and possibly fight the bosses again to double-check things.
It's unlikely that I'll get another run out before the end of the year since Asbel took so long for me to record and be happy with, so don't expect much content in the coming months. I have some ideas for what I want to do next but I won't say more than that at this point.

Q: How can you use B-Artes without drawing the sword first?

When you input Guard, A-Arte, and an arte shortcut at the same time when an arte is about to end, Asbel can use B-Artes without drawing his sword first. The "skipping" refers to the fact that these B-Artes take the place of an A-Arte as far as the arte tree is concerned, meaning you can use it after a 2CC A-Arte and "skip" to the 4CC A-Arte. It's possible to use even after a 1CC arte or while idling. You can also perform multiple arte skips after each other.
This opens Asbel up considerably and makes him very fun to play, but the downside is that the input requires great timing and practice in order to use it consistently.

Very clean dodging on Lambda's fast casting my dude. I also like near the end, when you were dodging Death Bringing but EB came up and went "nah dude, we're ending this now" lol.

But man you weren't kidding when you said this dude is in hitstun for eternity. If it wasn't for that Eleth Break he would've died on the second combo for free. Still, that epik Stampede Slash finish was worth it tho.
