Assets are only supported in the Advanced version. Everyone else needs to work with journal entries and accounts. I'm eyeing Xero accounting as my next accounting package to try.

Why isn't this integrated with the purchases? If I charge a bill to a Fixed Assets account, it should be available to add in the Fixed Assets module. I should be able to go into Fixed Assets, select the purchase, add extra asset details and press an activate button. This system is poor.I wouldn't bother.

I wish you would show what happens from the set up of the asset all the way through to the journal entries the software creates. Quite frankly I don't trust QBO

what a bummer that it is not available in Hong Kong. It is indeed a very basic function.

Can it accommodate scenarios - e.g. early disposals, or premature write-offs, or use of asset still after expiry (i. e. When the asset has become nil value - when cost minus accumulated depreciation equals zero but still in use)?

This doesn't work in UK Version. This is by far an inferior product to QB desktop
