As a person who gained 1k subscribers in 10 months then 3k in 2, I can confirm that it is much easier to gain ur second or third thousand subs then it is to gain ur first thousand

I literally just officially started my channel last month after YEARS of "thinking about starting". I have zero subscribers but I'm doing my research as to how to get some and views. I appreciate creators that address these topics so much because it lets us newbies have resources we so need. THANK YOU for your videos. They are truly so much appreciated.

I’m finding that people who don’t know you are more supportive. I want to be able to reach people outside of my inner loop, but I’m so lost in the sauce about following and paying attention to analytics. This was a great help Nick. I can say that I understand it a bit more now. 🙂

Nick helped me when I first began my YouTube channel. Now I have 44k subs with only 10 videos! Thank you! ⭐

I just hit 1K last week! I’m far from the 4, 000 watch hours but I’m still going to enjoy this milestone!

Started 2021 with 427 subscribers and about to finish the year with 1, 100 subs!

Don't doubt yourself or think it's too late to get started because as Abraham Lincoln said, "The best time to start YT was 10 years ago, the 2nd best time is today."

Hello Nick,
I just wanted to say thank you! I just got monetized this morning and I know a lot of it is from taking your advice! I listened to everything you said, I put in the hard work and stayed consistent! I woke up every morning at 5:00 am and watched your videos as to absorb whatever I could! I love how you keep it real with your viewers that YouTube takes TIME, and to keep at it! I understand why people quit, it can be an agonizing process! Again thank you so much...dare I say friend!

“Why would this video resonate with the audience I’m trying to reach?”
-“What value will my viewers get out of this content that I’m thinking of making?”
-“What will I focus on in the thumbnail of this video to make sure that my intended audience can identify that this content might be something that they are interested in?
-What would be a good informative and/or compelling title to get that particular viewer to click on the video topic?

Amen! Excellent question list. Thank you always Nick, for your concise wisdom!

Here 1st 😊watching. I really like the lighting and the back drop in the back. Really cool. I am working on my click through rates. And making better thumbnails. Thank you for the info about traffic sources.

Helpful tips, started my channel a year ago during the pandemic and am currently at 450+ subs, it hasnt been easy but i admit that getting your first 1k views is hard and not easy, regardless we keep going, I have realized it takes just a video to go viral anď you are good to go.

This month I’ve gone from a 2-5% CTR and 15-20 monthly subs to avg 10-20% CTR and almost 100 new subs from taking my thumbnails and intros more seriously. I stopped putting words on my thumbnails, as you’ve advised in previous videos. I sent different versions of my thumbnails to friends and ask “which would you click”? “Why/why not?”. I also make sure to tell a story in the intro, and that seems to draw people in more for me. I’ve learned a lot, and I’ve grown a bit more. I definitely believe in the information you provide on this channel. It’s helped a lot once I figured out how to put it into practice. This is obviously just the very beginning though, still so much more to learn and improve!

We're at 178 (after 11 months) as of this moment, and I'm trying hard to NOT give up. I'm definitely working on having more engaging, entertaining content. Also, the uptick in my editing skills are very apparent from the 1st few vids until the present. Continuing to grind on learning about how to continually get better. Thanks so much for your channel...you give me lots of info, encouragement and hope!
