Every idea is on-point and I would also like to share my writing process for my scripts (funnily enough I’m writing one right now) for anyone who wants to try.

First, put your raw thoughts on a Gdoc. Just write, put them there, don’t edit or try to fix them as you’re writing. Just put whatever you feel you want to say in your video onto the script.

Then you take a long break and don’t think about the script. Go for a run, take a shower, have lunch, whatever.

Then once you’ve cleared your head, you go back to the script and remove parts that you feel don’t fit, or you can add in parts that you feel would benefit the video more like a quippy joke or a profound insight.

Repeat the latter two steps until satisfied.

The reasoning for this is that when you’re making a script, you might feel more creative and then just let those ideas flow—and you should let those ideas come out because they could be good!

Then you return with a critical mindset after you’ve written out your raw thoughts and crop out the ideas that you don’t feel should be in the video.

This is how I make a script, it won’t work for everyone, but it might work for you. And ironically, I did actually learn it from my English teacher.

Just wanted to share this. I've been using the free version of VidIQ...it helped. But I recently upgraded to the Pro, looked at best posting time, and man! What a difference! Not sure if it was the video topic, title, or purely the posting time but that simple change made a huge difference.
