Coronavirus cases in the U.S. have risen in November and some experts expect the surge to continue. While a coronavirus vaccine is expected to begin distribution in December, it doesn't change the fact that there are more than 13 million positive cases in the United with 274,050 fatalities. A recent poll by the de Beaumont Foundation shows that 34 percent of African Americans know someone who died from the virus.

Many are hopeful a vaccine will prevent more covid deaths and David Goldberg, the U.S. CEO of DHL Global Forwarding says his team is ready to ship vaccines nationwide.

Dr. Tyson Bell, Critical Care and Infectious Disease Specialist at the University of Virginia spoke with Roland Martin on Tuesday about the latest developments in the fight against COVID-19.

I’m black and I don’t know one single person that’s died and only 1 person with the virus but I’m not a party, church, restaurant or family gathering person either.

Hi Roland. I know six folks possibly seven. Two in my family and three co workers. The tally is still out. I think COVID-19 was here before January. I was extremely sick in October 2019 went to the emergency room and the doctors didn’t know what was wrong.

They need to explain to me How/why places like Africa, Haiti, and Jamaica isn't being decimated by the coronavirus before I buy into the notion that blacks make up most cases of the coronavirus in America.

Not shocking if true. My whole social media is black people clubbing and parting like ain’t shit going on. They’re mostly young and will survive, but they’re taking that mess back home and it’s the parent and grandparents that’s dying.
