Do your DEI plans have enough HEART?
When we ask leaders “Do your DEI and Well-Being initiatives produce impactful and sustainable results,” the answer is often “no” or “not really.”
So why is that?
Oftentimes, it’s because the initiatives lack heart. Many are driven by mandates, performance plans, goodwill, litigation, or competitive advantage, etc. They come across as performative or as driven exclusively by the business case or “head case.” Too many initiatives are implemented from a sense of duty, obligation, responsibility, or job security, and lack a sense of desire.
