Third cousin of Doug Kershaw, Sammy is 62 and had a daughter born 9/11/19. In 2007 he ran for Lt. Governor of Louisiana finished 3rd with about 30 % of the vote. Don't go near the water, maybe not tonight a duet with Lorrie Morgan

Mr. Kershaw's music is kind of hit or miss with me. He was most active in the 90's, so he has some sappy over-produced ballads that were the thing back then. But he also started real young and got immersed in the honky-tonk sound of the previous decades...and to me, that's where he shines. His voice could at times be so close to sounding like George Jones, it was almost eerie. I highly recommend his song "Haunted Heart".
