FHP: Trooper shoots bank robbery suspect in Citrus County

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper shot a bank robbery suspect Thursday morning in Citrus County, according to the agency.
In a statement, the agency says around 11 a.m. the trooper responded to a call from the Citrus Sheriff's Office to help find the suspect.
The trooper located the person and engaged in an "armed encounter" near West Fort Island Trail, the agency explains. However, FHP confirmed the individual's injuries were not deadly.
