It's hard for me to find anime that I truly love but this is definitely one that I am totally invested in.
That last episode was absolute perfection. It threw me all the way off because I did not see it coming like that. Also don't say that the captain was ungrateful because she was very grateful and is on his side still.

So of course they can’t take any chances with Kafka, the reality is despite his good deeds, he’s caused a lot of property damage and they don’t know if he has plans of turning on them. This is why it is important to bring him into custody. Once they have him secured, they can investigate the whole situation to figure out what to do with him, it is in his best interest to comply. The good part about Kafka is that he is already a soldier, who is willing fight for humanity, that is way better than making a suit out of his hide.

i think giving him the option of surrendering himself for arrest is loyalty from the comerades, we know how they are aggressive towards a kaiju without thinking twice, so thinking from their perspective the feeling of shock and the fact that one of the most wanted and dangerous kaiju had been within their ranks all these while the very creatures they swore to kill has been fighting amongst them and also bonded with them.

Bruh. The reason she took him into custody is because there are kaiju that eat people and mimic their entire personality in order to inflict as much damage as possible with due time. Kafka was the opposite, the kaiju was eaten by him, first time that’s happened. She had every right to put him into custody.

Yah i understand she is too cold, given the circumstances she can't take a kaiju's side even if they were friends because she is the face of the defence force and one of their strongest to the point they called her a singularity due to her powers during her recruitment process
