That Secret Beach near Golfito Costa Rica:| Playa Escondida Puntarenitas.
Across the bay from the quaint town of Golfito Costa Rica is the secret beach called La Playa Puntarenitas or the Pig Bar. You won't find this in many Costa Rica Tourist guides as it a hidden beach and is not well known outside of the area.
Puntarenitas is where friends and families gather to swim, dance, play, eat, drink and have a good time. It is the type of rustic beach bar that one used to find in other cool out-of-the-way places throughout the tropics.

To get there... go to the little Public Dock across from Pierson's supermarket. Have a water taxi take you about 7 minutes across the bay. There are 4-5 places to eat an grab a cool beverage. Plan to bring cash as there is no electricity or wifi to process credit cards.

You never know what will be going on at Puntarenitas. Perhaps a wedding, an exciting high tide, a unicorn birthday party, dancing, singing, a photoshoot, beach games, fishing, or a rain shower. You can bet on having a fun time.

A Hidden Beach in Costa Rica called Puntarenitas is not an official beach in fact it is in the maritime zone where owning property is difficult. Several times in the past the environmental enforcement arm of Costa Rica has bulldozed the structures. The resilient folks rebuild and continue their way of life.
There is not where Envision Festival 2019 was or where Envision Festival 2020 will be.
