WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan talks about Andre The Giant as a man and Superstar.

I met him when I was about 13-14 years old in Minneapolis and I barely went above his belly button and He told me to enjoy the show young man. He was a humble giant and it was one of the hightlights of my live being a kid.

You can tell Hogan respected Andre. It seemed like he was getting a little emotional just thinking about those memories of the giant.

Wow I will give Hogan mad props for saying Andre was a bigger star than him. Talk about respect.

I was about ten years old and went to see a wrestling match in a little town in NC, Rocky Mount. Wahoo McDaniel, Ric Flair, Andre the Giant, I was able to meet Andre and he shook my hand. I remember to this day that he seemed really tired, warn out. I went up to him next to my mother and he shook my hand. Incredibly gently and such a warm look. It really felt like he was sad but he went out of his way to be nice to me. I'll never forget it. RIP Andre.

Andre the Giant seems to be the only wrestler in the world that Hulk Hogan has so much respect for. He must have been really special

He's so right. I was at Wrestle Mania 3 when he body slammed Andre. Andre was passing the torch when he let Hogan slam him and pin him. Hogan is demonstrating his class discussing is thoughts and feelings about Andre. I miss that gigantic teddy bear.

My Grandmother met him in an airport once, he signed pictures for all the kids and did it all with a smile and thanked her!

Hearing the stories, both from pro wrestlers that knew him and fans that encountered him you have an almost completely universal overtone about how kind and generous of a man Andre was. Especially with the fans. There was a man in so much physical pain in the later years but you could tell he loved his fans.
