Coming from a Manufacturer Rep of these types of Jacks, THAT was professionally explained and removed the option of dragging the jack to a repair/warranty depot or exchanging it as either of these are the only options for customers due to the nature of the application. Brilliant and THANK YOU!!

I have this same jack, did this procedure 6 times so far. Working perfectly, until there's a load then it only lifts half an inch at a time

Forgot to make sure fluid is at proper level... Normally just covering piston

It would help to know when to add oil if it's needed, and what to do after.

Can these jacks get air in the line even if they don't leak. Like if it was stored on its side? Because I am starting to have the issue where when you do a full stroke with handle trying to raise car it only feels like it's working at like the bottom of the stroke. There's no tension until the handle is down and barely moves. I think this is my problem.

Hi, Is it normal when the jack to drop when it is not loaded?
I notice that the jack goes down on its own without load. As soon as the piston gets back pressure (when a load is lifted) the piston is lifted and the pressure remains.

Ok, so I removed the screw between the two buigger screws that say "DO NOT ADJUST" at 1:07m in the video above on my Arcan jack, of course the screw is now lost and I don't even see it listed on the ARCAN pdf that has a diagram of the jack. Wondering what size it is?

When you are bleeding the air, does it matter how long the bleeder screw is left open? Will an open bleeder screw let air back into the system ?

My 2 pistons dont don't come up all the way..to make the jack lift, I have to move the handle down approx 20% to start the stroke.is there anyway of sorting this issue out?

I've had this model jack for two years. Maintained as instructed. Used it only three times. Found it in a puddle of hydraulic fluid in my garage this evening after it's last use. Dunno what to do about it. There are parts not indicated in the manual, like the cotter pin on the underside of the hydraulic ram/tank. What does that do? And what's the small bronze valve at the base of the arm? The markings say not to mess with either screw under that plate you removed. What are they supposed to do?

Basically, man, I'm feeling really cheated right now. My Dad bought a jack from you guys when the company just got its start. Used it every week. Never maintained it. And it's worked like a dream. So, what recourse do I have? If the hydraulic chamber has blown open because of shoddy welding, why should I be out the money for your company's screw-up?

I'd never order another Performance Tool jack. I've had a W1617 jack for 20 years and they still sell the jack but no repair kit is available W1617CK. Was a good jack for 20 years. Not sure how they sell a new jack now with no repair kit available

Mine pumps up but, makes noise and comes right back down. I have a thin layer of oil on the cyclinder shaft. is that normal or you think it's definitely a leakage?
I am thinking it's the seal/oring giving up. How do you know what oring size to order? do they have numbers on them?I mean it's not jacks are cars where you can order spareparts by just searching under the make. If you suggest the problem might be something else please tell me what other things it could be and how to fix it.
