I saw “Desiree” when I was 13 and read the book later! I never forgot Marlon Brando as Napoleon (he was my first movie crush) and Jean Simons was the perfect “Desiree”. The entire cast was able to recreate a historic time in the age of “Napoleon’s France”. I just saw it on TCM and it brought back the special feeling I had for the movie❤️I think I will order the DVD😊
