As someone who gets a little snippy with people when I'm having a really bad day, the adult thing to do is to just be honest about it and open when someone points out that you're lashing out. I'll tell my coworkers if I'm having an off day, pre apologize, and encourage them to speak up if they think I'm taking it out on them. That being said, I am always working on bettering myself so I don't lash out.
