She had a hard life. She was raped, struggled with her body image, lost close friends, was never married and never able to have a child. Even in this interview, she told the other singer “you used to be my single friend and now you’re married.” She felt alone.

There are times when you just nod your head and accept what is being said but there are also times when you know that person does not understand what you go through with depression. I hope this will open up more discussion on this topic on this show.

Depression isn't a choice. If your leg is broken you can't walk on it but when our mind is broken we think it's a matter of choosing when it really isn't. It's so much deeper than that. ❤️🙏

I felt for Mandisa...seemed like a bit of preaching at her. Besides the amazing Jamie..have any of these women, especially the pastor, dealt with clinical, chronic mental illness? It didn't sound like it to me. When your brain is sick...there are times of needed rest and recovery..just like any other part of the body. There needs to be room and grace for that. A balance to the ever popular...just push, keep going. Sometimes it's time to rest.

That hurt. I can't believe they cut off Mandisa like that. This doesn't demonstrate the "bearing of another's burdens" that scripture call us to, but instead Matthew 23:10 and a distressing need to be the expert on another's life coming from those who didn't even let her finish. Truly, just a lack of care. She really has such a beautiful, vibrant spirit.

These women should be ashamed of their behavior in this moment and hopefully by conviction would refrain from this in the future. This is one of the reasons why individuals in the church continue to grapple with challenges like depression. While spiritual warfare is REAL, some problems aren't always spiritual. As human beings we need a loving SPACE to be, exist, express, and heal without judgment or unwarranted "expertise". I say this as a Christian Life Coach in training that this behavior really hurts my soul. I'm praying for you Mandisa that you continue to heal at your pace.

It’s seems as if no one is truly listening to her and her needs. Depression is much more serious than these ladies are making out. Praying for you sis xx

This needs balanced with...there ARE times when you are too ill to get out of bed...and in those times, you are loved by your Father in heaven, just as much as when you are well and able to be productive

Having someone who's intentional about seeking after you is so important when you struggle with depression especially when you live alone during this pandemic! Find your person!

Mandisa was being very candid about her depression. Unfortunately, she is no longer here. Pray for each other and let’s not judge

Mandisa is gorgeous! I’ve heard her music and seen her before, but never noticed how truly beautiful that woman is. God bless her. Praying for her.

Like a lot of people said here, I feel like these (well meaning) ladies were giving her a more "to do" list to dig herself out of the pit. If it was about self will many people would just get out of depression easily, but many know depression is a very difficult thing to pull yourself out of. I feel for mandisa and the pain shes going through. God loves and cares for her in that moment and will get her through it even if it takes time and sometimes that's all people need to hear, is that theres nothing wrong with you. You are not a disappointment. Even though you don't feel like a Christian or that God is there, he sees you and this too shall pass like any season in life.

I have a suggestion: eat produce whether you eat a salad a day or especially a “green” juice/smoothie! Our “gut health” is truly important! Even when you can’t, get back up and do this when you can! You need to be intentional about this just as we are about brushing our teeth every day! I did/do this for myself and my husband! I’ve been there myself sooo many times and I know “what” I used to eat compared to now and I feel a great difference! I pray and hope this helps someone! May the LORD continue to Bless you Mandisa (btw, I love and appreciate your awesome, fun and high energy music!) and the ladies on this awesome video! 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏

This is so hard to listen to knowing that she was found dead in her home yesterday. 😢💔 at the time of my comment they do not know her cause of death.. I'm praying her depression didn't overcome her. 😢💔 she was such a sweet person. Praying for her friends and family.

I feel Mandisa. I also have introvert tendencies. I am working through it with the Holy Spirit each day. The pastor hit it though when she said it's about obedience.
