Favorite tip was definitely showing the work flow. Something I would love to talk about to clients, but always afraid they would either get confused, intimidated, or would simply not care.

Hadn't been back in a bit...like the new hair color! 🙌 And yeah...gonna mention all of these (as well as Ben's) tips in my animation course (community college level). The kids need to hear this advice as early as we can give it!

I found it really interesting that you recommend showing our process with case studies! Not sure why I haven't thought about doing that, but it is a fantastic idea!

Thanks Hayley, great video! my favourite tips: 30 emails to get one project and tracking clients by organising them into groups of past present and potential ones.

Definitely the best tip was Streak, I was not aware of this tool. So useful to be able to also organize projects. Some clients want to communicate via email and it was needed a tool like that.
Thanks Hayley :)

I just loved this video. It was really interesting and objective. For me, the most valuable part was tip number 3.
And it will be great to see a "how to create a case study video" here on the channel. I'm really looking forward to see it

Yes, I'd love seeing a video on case studies. I definitely make them, but I'm always interested in seeing how specialists do it.

Best tip for me is not to confuse the client. My work has been varied between motion graphics, stop-motion and overlapping cross media work. I've always been a bit averse to making a general showreel because it's not as useful for attracting clients. Making seperate reels or pages of collected work on my website has been the way to go for me so far!
