I'm a lawyer too. I keep a lot of the same things, but for me, my toothbrush is most important. I hate going to important meetings without brushing my teeth. I don't walk around with a whole beautycase, just my toothbrush with a cap and a small toothpaste. Instead of a blanket scarf, I have an oversized black woolen cardigan that I'll wear over my clothes at my desk. And of course, hand cream, deodorant, hair bands, nail files, chapstick and those sort of things. I also keep shoe polish with a sponge applicator. And then I'll use the shoe polish machine in our office to brush it out.
And no, decorating is not done in my office, apart from some people putting up photos of their children.
