Simon's voice is unbelievably good for his age, and their relatively recent album Future Past (2021) is arguably their best of the ones I've owned. (And I was a fan in the early-to-mid '80s.)

I'm happy Andy is playing on this and the 5 are working together, it was always these guys who where Duran. As a Brummie lad in my teens in the late 70's early 80's going to bars and venues In Moseley like the Cocks, Prince of Wales and Traf pub then getting on the 50 into town going to Barbarella's, Top Rank, Rebecca's, down to John Bright Street and up to Broad St passing Lee Longlands furniture store to go to the Runner this song brought back a lot of memories of that period. This reworking of this song is a haunting memory of my youth, Birmingham and a ghost of so many friends, family and people I met and know at time who are no longer with us. I hardly ever got in The Rum Runner on a Friday, Roxy night it was call I think it is 44 years ago, I only got in when my older brother was there as he was friends with some of the staff . This version brought back so much and the great times, they really where!!!! only now do I realize. If you do a recover this is how to do it Simon's voice is slightly broken, gravelly and beautiful all at the same time, lovely outro too as the voice, bass, guitar come together. That's what music is all about when it evokes emotion and 40 odd years later the guys have done it justice well done.
