Another great and informative video. Just bought my largest plant yet, Snake plant, for North facing patio doors by the fireplace.

I get the plug off there as soon as possible it will stunt the roots if left on. It's like when I got a Magnolia tree and the men that planted it left it in the burlap less than a year it was dead. So look to see if it has a plug. 😊

Great video! I just wanted to share a helpful tip regarding repotting. While it's common to check for roots growing out of the bottom or waiting 1-2 years, a much more reliable indicator are changes in how your plant absorbs water. If you notice that water drains unusually quickly or slowly, or if your plant remains droopy even after a good watering, it’s time to consider repotting. Additionally, if the plant was purchased in poor-quality substrate or you suspect root rot, repotting can really give your plant a fresh start.

Also, amending your soil based on your personal watering style and placement (more drainage and aeration when placing plants in lower light or if you are an overwater).

I actually water much more often in the winter time. :) my plants grow all year so I’m fertilizing all year. You should fertilize as long as your plant is growing.

Keep up the fantastic work with your plants!

5:58 I very appreciate you adding the name because I’m in Australia and I’ve never seen one of these and I’m sure like a lot of people I’m a mess when it comes to repotting 😅.

And my soil is Leca ❤. The ones still in soil are in a good mix for the plant, but I don’t want soil inside 😅.

What do you think of an idea where you can provide plant care services when people go for vacations/hometowns. You pick the plants, take care of them and drop it when they are back

I just bought a snake plant at a local garden center and something about the soil has a really bad smell, like horse manure or formaldehyde. It's weird but it's driving me nuts and I may have to get rid of it. Any ideas on what it might be? There's some mossy material on top of the soil.

Can you put that plant directly in to a ceramic pot while it’s inside that clear plastic one? Will that be enough irrigation?

Can anyone help me with a Calathea issue I’m having? The leaves are always curled in even though it’s never allowed to dry out completely. The roots look very healthy I’m not sure it’s issue, I’ve looked and can’t see any pests on it, I am kinda confused!
