Lipari is the largest of the Aeolian Islands in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the northern coast of Sicily, southern Italy; it is also the name of the island's main town and comune. Its population is about 13,000, but during the summer season, the total population may reach up to 20,000.

You can watch our video of Stromboli and Vulcano, we visit them on a one day tour from Tropea.

In a one day tour you can visit up to three Aeolian Islands, it is enough to have a quick peak of the beauty of these islands, of course if you want to deeply discover each island you will have to spend more days.

You can do so by taking a public ferry from Milazzo (Sicily).

⛴️ HOW TO GET TO Lipari: You can visit Lipari from Milazzo (Sicily), there are daily ferry boats to visit all of the Aeolian Islands. During summer time you can also take a ferry boat from Reggio Calabria, Messina, Naples, Vibo Valentia and Tropea. It’s the best option if you want to stay more than one day.

This is what I look for in an island. From the drone intro the Lipari Island, looks very big compared to others that I have ever seen. Sicily has it all. The island is very beautiful, I like the shops, many tourists and looks very pleasant to walk around. Magnificent Cathedrals, etc. I enjoyed video very much.

It is funny because I have been considering moving further south after my year in Florence, and I have been looking at an apartment on the island of Lipari. It is in the Belvedere Quattrochi area of Lipari, in the hills outside of the main cities. Do you know anything more about Lipari or what would be your thoughts on living there full time?
