I had a principal threaten to take away mine for accepting a job and leaving in the middle of the year (breaking contract) but here’s the thing in Texas if they aren’t willing to match your new salary, they can’t and even if they were and you still choose to leave all they can do is put a ding on your record saying “left in middle of a contract” that is there for 2 years, and then disappears. But in the middle of a teacher shortage, you’re still going to get a job…

They can’t take away your training or qualifications that’s rediculous. Do school want teachers or not?

Not a teacher. I'm a retired RN. Many parents are nuts, not ok . Not all parents of course but way too many. Way too many people should not have kids.

Districts cannot just take away your teaching license. They have to go through a due process hearing through the state's Dept. of Education.

I told off a child in class and he cried....I did not know he was a VIP child since i was new in school and In that country. Even without asking what happened, I was given a termination letter immediately. Days later i heard the child told my bosses that it was nothing and he overreacted but I was done. I sent in my resignation letter earlier than I was supposed to leave.
I thought about quitting the profession because of the kids, parents and bosses like but then in my experience I know not all kids, parents and bosses are like this.
I am now preparing to go back to my old job because it made me love teaching so much.

I always treasured my job and kids I teach but this school took the passion out of it and I knew I was not going to last at that job.
PS: Don't stay at a job that doesn't make you happy

Don’t threaten me with a good time 🤣 Left a contract early for a terrible, lying, chaotic work environment and they threatened to take my cert away by reporting me to the state. I sent the district a letter calling them out on their b.s. and they did no such thing! It’s crazy how the truth can scare big macho supervisors into not abusing their power 🤔🤣 so my advice if you get treated like garbage leave and call them out for their lies and nonsense!

I had them threaten to ask the state to freeze my certificate for a year. I left and kept my certificate.

I would go after the parents report them to cps for failure to get their kid mental health help

When they try that - say see you in court and walk out - 2 seconds later watch their reaction - their threats are the equivalent of telling a 5-year-old if they are bad Santa won't come

Do these teachers not have unions? Where I live and teach that can't do that without the teacher doing something egregious. Even then, there's s process and you have a right to fight it.

They can take away the certificate, which is given by the state. So theoretically you could teach in another state.
