I somehow walked right past the statue and spent an hour and a ghalf exploring the caves that follow. They are massive and end up in the castle basement.

I hate how long this took me. I was ALL OVER those caves, all the way up into Hyrule castle, looking for this "Demon". Even killed a stalnox thinking OH this must be it. Thing is, I SAW the statue, ages ago. But I remembered what it was from BOTW, went, "I wont ever need that, I have max stamina and now everything is going towards remaining health." Never used it in BOTW, not gonna us it here. AND YET THAT WAS THE QUEST. So its sat there unfinished with me running all over WHEN I FOUND IT RIGHT AWAY. It never occurred to me that a quest would be linked to it lol.

thanks bro when i was doing the quest i was scared because i knew he was gonna take my heart because i had expierience with the statue taking my heart this video helped and i got my heart back

If you explore the rest of that cave you’ll find the soldier Greece helm and chest just look for castle walls in the cave follow the blue rocks

I thought my heart won't go back again because it takes away from me. And after I complete and check the guide I just need to take to statue once again to get it back. Is anyone like me don't know at the beginning?

I went aaaall the way to the castle, mopping up enemies thrice with bloodmoons and completed the royal guard set but not finishing this quest because my dumbass didnt bother to look right in the first place

btw anybody who does not know how to enter emergency shelter go to the middle of lookout landing talk to the soldier then the place should open up later in the game there will be a hole in the wall that you can go into and meet the statue. i hope this helps to everyone who had a hard time doing this ^^

Same issue. No matter what I do I'm just soft locked from this quest and I don't know why.
It pisses me off when something that's supposed to work, but refuses to work

Felt SO dumb when I walked ALL the way back and realized the demon statue was to the right this whole time. Had to look up on YouTube and was pleasantly surprised 99% of folks are as stupid as me LMAO
I defeated the Stallnox and went as far as the first electric like like and realized….this doesn’t feel right LMAO and this has happened on MORE than 1 occasion in this game, that being an objective is right under our noses the entire time….
