When I decided to build a second van I wanted to have some of the best systems I could think of. Heated floors while also heating the air and having on demand hot water is a system that is a luxury but also a needed thing if you're living full time like I am.

I am happy for Troy's success, but a two year installation waiting period, no DIY product, and all the secrecy is very frustrating. Great video!

Lmao. There is nothing specIal about this system. If you know what your doing you can build your own the same or better. Lmao. As long as you have quality parts it’s easy especially for someone like me been building for 30 years with hydronics .

There are many industries that you can look to and see examples of designs being made open and available to everybody while the company who developed them remains quite profitable. I don't see any reason why it can't be the case here.

2 times I have emailed Troy's company to see if I could have the infloor heating and the recirculating shower kits sent to Canada and if so what the cost would be with no response. Its been about 3 wks to a month ago now.

Only one inch thick for the floor heating system is a feat. Humble Roads Youtuber also just installed a radiant floor system - he is worth following too, and I would like him to know what you all are doing too.

Probably don’t want to show us because all it is is pex tubing run on the floor? Good luck with that patent.

Jesus. Why does every youtuber think they're a comedian. I just want to see what your title lead me to believe was in your video.

roughly how much do these systems cost? and the hot water is on-demand, correct? The tank is just to store the 4 gallon and anything after 4 would be instant?

I think it would be cool if You guys (Jarrod and Troy) could release or let us know the system requirements of your hydronic heating (spelling?). For example I believe it requires a webesto or some kind of diesel heater, right? Another idea is to lock away the DIY build behind a paywall and then only send paper instructions or write a DIY ebook to sell explaining the details so we can at least get a ballpark idea, and lets be honest, a lot of people would buy the book and probably not even read it fully or decide it "looks too hard", only a true DIY person would attempt something like this anyways. Just some thoughts, enjoy. Again I think if people understood the system requirements or had a ballpark number, you would save yourself a lot of time and hassle, with people emailing you, etc.

I feel like zero people in the van life community are actually honest about what this stuff actually cost. I wonder why that is?

Any competent DIYer does not need this "secret" system, but hey not everybody is a competent DIYer so more power to him.

That is going to be an amazing system I hope you get the shower system as well. #gamechanger

So, an average draw of 30 watts. At 12v, that is 2.5 amps or 60 amps in 24 hours. That is an amazingly small draw to keep a van warm.

2:11 under 70 Watt radiant floor heating system. That’s insane.

For the circulating shower he says 1.5 Gallons 20 minutes (which is a huge win for van life). Interesting.

I love the specs shared in this video.

I have a high tech mostly electric Smart school bus tiny home I am going to build… I think I’m going to use Van Life Tech’s assistance.

Thank you Jarrod Tocci for your inspirational video 💪🏽

Somebody needs to come up with a van that is longer than the extended version w/ tandems 2 single rear wheels or 1 dual w/ single load wheel, so instead of 292 length 312 length or better it's a ideal similar to the Hennessy trucks pickup truck except it will be for the better

Troy's a genius building a rocket to Mars. It's a fucking combi boiler. Where do we buy one that's the right dimensions to fit in a van. You ain't the only fitter and gas guy on the planet. You certainly can't do all the installations yourself.
