One year with lil Sonny Bunny in our family! He’s the greatest lil cuddly bun 💛🧡🤎 I love pet rabbits and have had years of experience with them so always like including a PSA: They should not be gifted as novelty pets, they aren’t ideal for children as they are prey animals that don’t typically love being handled and picked up. They shouldn’t be caged, they need lots of room to live and play, with 24hr access to Hay and lots of environment stimulation - plus a lot of bunny proofing as they can chew through anything and escape out of almost anything. They CAN be litter trained but don’t respond well to vocal commands like dogs. (I’ve had great success with clicking sounds and hand signals for training) they are incredibly fragile with sensitive digestive systems and don’t show obvious signs of sickness so unfortunately can fall fatally ill rapidly. They require exotic vets, which even in major cities can be difficult especially in emergencies. They can live up to 10+ years! They poop all day, nap up to 18 times a day, are silent and are self cleaning, they don’t have an odor unless you don’t clean their homes enough. They can take years to form a bond with other rabbits and humans.
