The thing I like most about this vocalist is the confidence she has to allow the song come through instead of mangling the tune the way so many young singers do. Bravo!

At 0:22 a perfect register for her voice which is laid back, mellow, comforting and calming. The transition in and out of the scat sections is natural and effortless. Also, she sings with great feeling for time. So happy I found this.

This is a difficult but beautiful song to sing, but Connie, Laura and the band performed beautifully.

Great rendition and singer and that bass player, how he drives and swings. Ahh! Subtle and gorgeous. Thanks for posting.

Nobody of us ever knew a world without Toots Thielemans, and now that we haven't even begun facing such a world, we feel like a yearling in the spring sun realizing that the world goes on, just as beautifully as it used to. It takes a great interpreter of jazz, a lady like Connie to let us hear the melody still lingers on. Thank you!

Poor little, sad little blue Bluesette
Don't you cry, don't you fret
You can bet one lucky day you'll waken
And your blues will be forsaken
Some lucky day lovely love will come your way

If there is love in your heart to share
Dear Bluesette, don't despair
Some blue boy is waiting just like you
To find a someone to be true to
Two loving arms you can nestle in to stay

Get set, Bluesette
True love is coming
Your lonely heart soon will be humming

Pretty little Bluesette, musn't be a mourner
Have you heard the news yet? Love's 'round the corner
Love wrapped in rainbows and tied with pink ribbons
To make your your next springtime your gold wedding ring time

My favorite person in the band is the gray-haired woman playing the guitar. Let's hear it for musically talented senior citizens!! Seriously. love this song. It has been my favorite since way back in high school. Loved Toots Thielemans.

Toots, your music lives on and people like you made all of this possible. R.I.P. Toots. Great version of this beautiful song!!!

WOw. Somewhere here on YouTube I heard iconic Stevie Wonder and Toots Thielemans playing this tune on their harmonicas. IT WAS FABULOUS.

Beautiful. Magnificently wonderful. That voice... Wow! And the band is not shabby by any degree. I'm sure Toots would be proud.
