Sampling on the R/V Acadiana

Welcome aboard the Research Vessel Acadiana. The Acadiana is designated as a near coastal research vessel owned and operated by the Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium. Today the Acadiana and her crew are taking us out to collect some samples using a trawl.

LUMCON has been conducting trawl sampling in Terrebonne Bay for decades. The result is a dataset that is the largest and most complete record of demersal and pelagic species found in Terrebonne Bay.
