Whitney Houston died in February, Summer died in May, 2012. The shock upon hearing the news of both was beyond disbelief. As a pre-1980 Gen-Xer, I cannot wait for this documentary.

Of course she was a complicated person; who isn’t? And imagine trying to navigate that fame. When all is said and done Donna was simply the best and she’s truly missed. I saw Donna Summer at Carnegie Hall in 1999... there had been controversy over remarks she made about the LGBTQ community and during the concert she paused and asked the crowd, "Do you still love me?" and the crowd went wild.... it was moving because in that moment you could really feel the love.

Looks enticing. Can't wait!!! She deserves this and so much more!!! Donna Summer was so underrated and under appreciated. A One Of A Kind Voice from the heavens. Beauty and talent to match. Just like I watched her live concert on HBO back in the 80's at least a thousand times, I'll probably do the same for this documentary!! Thank you Brooklyn, Roger and HBO!!! Your mom was a LEGEND!!!
