Wish this included Mac's genuine apology to Smash after he gets back on the bus.

In an alternate universe:

Reporter: "what about Smash? Why not have him play QB?"
Mac: "you want us to move our all-state RB to a new position in the middle of the playoffs? I'm not wasting my time with you any more. Interview over."

Disaster averted.

Mac and Taylor owned these cops. Wish they included Mac’s apology to Smash after what he said before cause that’s what made the scene even better

the seen with the cops is just terrifying, if mac hadn't said anything the whole team would have been powerless to stop armed police from dragging smash to jail (or even to a lynch mob) for no reason

You can make a case that hit was Tim's finest hour.

"Alright, then let me talk to my wife." at 5:45 mark. Hilarious

Smash did a phenomenal job of acting in this episode. Not in his clip, but When Mac is telling everyone to follow smashs lead after he scores you see his face get really awkward and uncomfortable

Eric: "Okay, now let me talk to my wife, then...." He and Tami always had great discussions. they were funny, but often got to the heart of the problem.

Smash's mother definitely was a strong influence. She always helped put things in perspective for him.

Love the explosions in the sky music when the black players come back to the team. So powerful

I would have said "Can Smash throw the ball 20 yards down the field to himself?" Putting him at QB would limit what he could do. Once the QB throws the ball or hands it off he is pretty much done with the play

This scene was my favorite out of the whole show

Not sure about what everyone else is saying but Mac’s comments were racist. He questioned the ability of black players to play certain positions and to lead their teams. In 2020, we know this to be wrong and completely false. Black players, black quarterbacks, such as Lamar Jackson, Deshaun Watson, Russell Wilson, Patrick Mahomes, etc. have shown that it was a lack of opportunity, not any inherent traits like Mac said. Shit, Vince Howard in seasons 4 and 5 proves Mac wrong anyway.

smash really evolved as a character after this episode. he gained my respect. from a cocky, fast and loose star to a well-rounded, humble person on and off the field. it's terrible that black people always have to be the "bigger person" when faced with discrimination and racism. same old bs.

The emotional outburst on national TV that ended Howard Cosell's NFL announcing career: "Look at that little monkey run!" and "Their mamas got big thighs. Their daddy's got big thighs. They gonna have big thighs!"

This was a perfect portrayal of today's media.
