The only really good gauge of talent in terms of juniors is the WJC and the sometimes the WJC U18… that’s when all the countries send their best talent… the U.S. was playing almost exclusively USHL players and no USNTDP players.

As an American, Canada winning doesn’t surprise me. Canada had a ton of CHL players on their roster while USA had layers still playing AAA.
