Agreed on #1, always get the OG bracelet if any especially if you get "exotic" metal like titanium or aluminium or coated metal. The prize of an aftermarket strap is peanuts compare to the bracelet's price. And you get very creative and fun with straps, colors, materials, textures etc...

The biggest help for me was making a list. Prioritize what I wanted, reference and update it frequently. Keeps me from buying too many.

I only have 2 watches since 1981 a $13 Casio a $20 Texas Instruments Casio like watch. I only change d the batteries and they are still working good

I have my Rolex Datejust from 1992 and my Omega Constellation from 1998. The Datejust is for everything outside of work since it’s auto while the Constellation is for work since it’s quartz. Life is good with just these two and both are in superb condition whilst in their “vintage” era of their lives.

Long story short, I’m 60% certain I don’t need to buy anymore watches since I have like 7 other watches.

If you have a FLAT crystal, you can extend its life with those smartwatch toughened glass screen protectors, just measure the size before ordering.

Choose metal bracelet? Yes and no. I have two watches in my current rotation, one on a bracelet (2017 SMPc), which I wear with a suit jacket, and one on a perforated rubber strap (Carrera Heuer 01), that I wear casually. I would have never bought these watches with different straps tbh.

I only have 2 watches. GShock GWM5610 (i bought 2021) and SKX007 (gift from my dad in 2015) Im thinking of buying the SSK001 when im about to go work abroad and if i have money to spare

Get leather only if you like it more and plan on getting a different bracelet if you know you'll throw a different bracelet on in the future because stock is crap.

I disagree with the metal bracelet. i have bought several watches on them and not one of them lasted more than a week without it being taken off. i find them too uncomfortable and heavy. I only have one which is on a Milanese style metal bracelet
