In section 4.7.1 - The Variance Breakdown, in the squaring both sides line, how or why is the (middle) term preceded by 2 on the right side of the equation equal 0?

My algebra simply results to (ysub(i) - y.mean)^2 which agrees with the left side of the equation. Thanks for your guidance.
