In my head, I felt like he was always in the videos and I never realized that he wasn’t always a part of Jimmy’s crew. I’m actually so happy for him, and more recently Nolan, who got the opportunity to be a part of something they probably never thought possible before it actually happened.

I only started watching Karl's streams a few months ago, but something that sticks out a lot to me is his generosity towards his friends; I always see him gifting so many subs and being super supportive. Honestly, it's insane to see his grind on twitch when you know he also has a full time job. Sometimes he looks so tired and worn out during all those late night streams due to the lack of sleep, but this is why everyone often says he's one of the most hardworking people they know. I have so much respect for Karl.

I think what makes Karl stand out is his personality -- he's soft and very giggly all the time. I think most people who make it big on twitch do so because of their personalities, and because of the community they cultivate.
Whereas youtube is partially personality-driven content (+editing and production etc), twitch is almost entirely personality-driven content, if that makes sense. And the people who enjoy watching streamers are primarily looking for that sort of thing and a community they can feel a part of.

Wow just a few minutes into this and I see now how much Karl was prepped for where he is now. Two years of streaming to no one sounds unimpressive but he probably grew so much and learned how to be on camera because of that! He looks like an overnight success on Twitch because of Mr Beast, but this video shows that’s not the case.

Also, an unspoken aspect of what contributed to his popularity…he’s likable. In just the few first minutes of this video, you can see the only reason opportunities went well for him is not just Bc he was prepared, but he also is very likable . His FRIEND recommended him the editor job. CHRIS liked him. DREAM liked him. Karl is friendly and likable which is important to take note of too.

Karl is a person I used to watch on Twitch playing Roblox back in the days. I even remember playing the cowboy game which was popular at that time and then Phantom Forces against him. Even if there wasn't that many viewers he still made big efforts to make his streams entertaining and show his originallity. I got hooked real quickly to watching him, first time I watched him was when he had about 15-20 viewers then I returned when he used to average 40-60. He was a super cool and fun guy to watch. He showed his compassion and knew how to get views. He was a guy where, even though time schedule were odd, I always tried to get on his streams because they were entertaining.
