Dr. G makes a some good comments.
1. current vaccines fall short when it comes to reducing omicron transmission. They still prevent serious complications
2. the guidance from cdc has been mixed and confusing. the Biden admin did not try to steer the cdc from making controversial and confusing statements

3. we need more testing available and there is finally an effort to make this happen although it did not come in time during the omicron surge
4. a vaccine that targets omicron and reduces its tranmission -- i think it may be necessary if there are other variants that are going to emerge in the fall of 2022

Margaret, You ask the question as to whether everyone is going to have to get another booster, or vaccination. Does that really matter? Everyone should just go out and get the shot, just like picking up a prescription at CVS. It isn't a big deal but may help protect us and end the pandemic.
