Thanks for the review, can you drop some words about how hot this device gets in the hot summer? Does it throttle down the CPU like my iPad does like hell which makes it right now in summer completely unusable.

I wish I'd seen this a couple of weeks ago. Despite being posted over 2 years ago DJI still don't include a charger with the CrystalSky. I bought my first drone recently, the Mavic Platinum Pro. The Drone is fantastic but the Mavic charger is still not compatible with the CrystalSky. It doesn't have the plug which fits into the CrystalSky charging hub. So, I too had to go ahead and buy a charger for a Phantom 4 so I could use my CrystalSky!!
Having said that, the CrystalSky is superb. I have the 5.5" too and I agree completely with your conclusions. Thank you.

Thanks, good review, however although it is android based it will not allow 3rd party apps, so no Litchi etc. I find Litchi better than DJI app particularly for waypoint missions.
I have used both IOS and Android, I would hope a DJI locked down android version will give very good results, but on balance, I will stick with ipad mini 4 and sun hood.

Seems like a great device; however, its a bit pricey for a monitor that's only usable for your drones. And, I am not sure why DJI would not provide an adapter for the Mavic which is out selling all of the other DJI other drones combined.

Good review as far as it goes, looks like a nice screen but your review is a bit limited in that you do not show the device in practical everyday use. How does it work in the real world and mount/connect to the Mavic controller for example? Also would have been nice to have shown us the larger version as well; is that compatible with the Mavic controller or are these screens mainly aimed at platforms other than the Mavic? When compared with an iPad mini 4 and sunshade, is it worth the cost?

If you are a Mavic Pro owner and do not have a charging cord for the CrystalSky charging hub, what can you use as an alternate charging cable?

Hi. I’m getting a Crystalsky for Christmas but only have the Mavic charger. I understand that it’s not able too charge the monitor batteries so I wonder if you could advise me what the wattage is on the Phantom charger and what sort of connection it has please? I’ll try and source one with the same specs. Thanks. Peter.

Nice, but I don't like the android system. A big negative is the way that DJI made the battery sticking out of the back of the device so now how are people that want to use it with the Mavic Pro and Spark gonna hold it ? All the phone and tablet holders are not made to hold the CrystalSky

Hang on... DJI make a monitor to be used with all of their drones and don’t supply a charging cable!?? What the hell is that about?? I’ve just ordered one of these before seeing your review and now I’m annoyed having heard this. Why would they expect Mavic users to have a Phantom charging cable lying around? Beggars belief. Now I have to shell out for a DJI charging cable JUST to charge this battery 😡😡😡
