I'm actually surprised how much I'm enjoying this. The "box" moving is totally overblown in this review. Some of the puzzle segments requiring you move things handle just fine. I haven't really encountered any glitches either. And the shadow and silhouette platforming is actually quite creative at times. Add in secrets to find, a unique atmosphere, and interesting story, I'd recommend playing Contrast-- especially if you can get it for free. It's a well-made indy game.

To be honest, if it weren't free I probably never would have played it. And though it certainly isn't perfect, it does have some pretty clever ideas and can be surprisingly comedic. I would the developers to really go wild on a sequel. The concept makes for a very strong possibility.

7.5 is pretty good tbh I'm still getting this game and I'm sure they'll patch the glitches, oh and IGN it's glitches not gliches just saying:)

I just beat the game on the PS4 and I must say, I agree with this review though 7.5 is a bit high. It deserves at least a 6/10 but I digress. The game had a strong (yet limited) story with some great concepts. But that doesn't save it from having clunky controls, rushed story elements, less than pleasing platforming (which would be great for a platformer) and a lack of care for you as a player since there is little explanation as to why you're even there.
Game could have been great with some more months of work but as it stands, the game just feels like a rush piece of work that could have been great.

Well, we still have DriveClub,  Infamous: Second Son, The Order: 1886,  Flower,  Escape Plan. And a huge number of possible games like Uncharted Sequel, New God of War, etc..

It would be really nice if they release a patch to fix up the heavy glitches in this game. Doesn't matter if they are indie developers. These glitches make this game nearly unplayable.

I've been on the fence about this game for a while. It looks interesting, but I'm pretty sure this is simply gonna be a love it or hate it kinda game. Guess I'll find out which one I am on Friday.

my honest opinion about this title... when i first played it. i was a little sad at how the game was. but after an hour of play.. it got pretty good. the story is pretty weird and the little girl is just too cute. granted it could be better, but as a day one game, its pretty good. when the game gets strange and glitchy... its pretty hilarous. one delightful platformer indeed a 7.2 is a good score. but perhaps a 7 or a 6.8
