You just seen a bit of his abilities (not a joke seriously) The wonder voice from Kazakhstan - he has a solid 6 octave range, perfect pitch, classically trained since age 5, singing in 12 different languages, any style you could think of usually mixing them in his own style, he's a composer and multi-instumentalist. Every song is unique and surprising no matter how many you heard before. He has millions of fans litteraly from all over the world. Welcome to the world of Dimash. Yeah, well. This one is okay, but it's not the pinnacle of Dimash's art, in my opinion.


The usual place to start is SOS. This was his first performance on the 2017 Chinese TV show 'I Am a Singer, ' and it marks the transition between Dimash the regionally-famous singer to Dimash the world-famous singer. Pretty song, too. He had a bunch more songs for that show, all of which are here on YouTube, including the English songs Adagio, Hello and All By Myself - all of which he made his own with very fresh interpretations. He also sang Diva Dance - the impossible song from the 5th Element movie. And more.


Since then he's done a pile of live performances and songs that have to be heard to be believed, like Love Is Like a Dream, Sinful Passion, Ogni Pietra, Love of Tired Swans, Passione, Mademoiselle Hyde, Screaming, and more. Lots more.


Dimash is a once-in-a-century singer, Hannah. He destroys conventions; he breaks boundaries; he shows us vocal gymnastics; and he's a vocal master from baritone through soprano and whistle voice in multiple genres, from opera to R&B to pop to folk ballads to regional songs we won't often hear in the West. In his Gakku performance of Unforgettable Day, he gives us a D8 note honestly produced from his throat. He usually employs high drama in his songs; you usually won't get the flat energy levels demanded by Western radio. He has teamed with the composer Igor Krutoy, a very big deal indeed in Russia and Kazakhstan and nearby countries, who often plays the piano for him (Igor composed Your Love and was at the piano for it). Dimash is also friendly with Lara Fabian, who I believe wrote the lyrics for Your Love (and arranged/wrote lyrics for Adagio and composed/wrote lyrics for Mademoiselle Hyde, both covered by Dimash). He performed Ti Amo Cosi with Lara and opera singer Aida Garifullina. He's been a busy young man!


I recommend avoiding CBS' World's Best competition. They cut down his songs ruthlessly; better versions exist elsewhere. They're copyright trolls, too, they don't want you to react to their intellectual property.

Hi Hannah, I can’t agree more with what the other Dears (this is how Dimash calls his fans) allready said about him. I just loved to see you being Dimashified! You’re one of millions who allready fell in love with this out of this world talent and also very respectfull and humble personality of Dimash. You will be shocked time after time, because he shows everytime something new. Please thank the person who send you the link 😉 And.. make some spare time in your program, because you’re a couple of years behind 😂 He became famous overnight in 2017 in the Singer program in China. He’s also famous in Russia, his own country of course and other Parts of Asia than China. Slowly Europe wakes up now! Understandable hè had to cancel his concert tour Arnau in Europe because of Corona. Last december he sold out Barclays Center in NY. Please watch SOS first, Sinfull Passion, than Ogni Pietra (opera), Across Endless Times (his last new song, just came out), Screaming (pop), Know, the Love of the Tired Swans and so on!!! If you do, I would love following you in this crazy and beautifull journey. Your musical experience will change for sure, because I heard lots of other vocal coaches saying that a talent like Dimash is soooo rare, that it will take maybe another century before we will have a singer with this vocal gift (besides his body language during singing, intepretation, présence and stage performance).
