The next day he was an over night sensation in China and needed bodyguards to stay with him everywhere he went. He was recognized and applauded when he went out in public. And he hasn't stopped since, in becoming more famous the world over.

S.O.S es un aria particularmente difícil de una ópera rock contemporánea francesa escrita en 1978 titulada Starmania, que antes han interpretado los cantantes Daniel Balavoine y Gregory Lemarchaly. Fue la primera presentación en el concurso The Singer, del 2017 para cantantes profesionales, en donde fue el único invitado extranjero y el más joven. Dimash tenía ahí 22 años y nació el 24 de mayo de 1994. Luego de esa presentación paso en 24 horas, de ser un artista relativamente desconocido, a precisar guardaespaldas. En ese concurso Dimash canto unas 12 canciones y quedo en 2do lugar. Es un artista increíble y un ser humano maravilloso. Dimash fue el que abrió el concurso con esa canción; el entusiasmo del publico al comenzar, a pesar de no conocerlo, lo atribuyo a la novedad de ser un artista extranjero, y al indudable carisma que él posee.
