Can Ketamine Therapy Worsen PTSD? Exploring Treatments and An Alternative

In this video, Dr. Ko from Reset Ketamine and Palm Springs discusses the role of ketamine therapy in treating PTSD, the potential risks of ketamine exacerbating PTSD symptoms, and alternative treatment options like the stellate ganglion glock (SGB).

Dr. Ko reviews significant research, including a study by Dr. Feder published in January 2021 in the American Journal of Psychiatry, which reports a substantial reduction in PTSD symptoms with repeated IV ketamine infusions.

The importance of mental preparedness and a supportive environment for ketamine therapy is stressed.

For those unable or unwilling to undergo ketamine treatment, SGB is presented as a non-psychoactive alternative offering promising results.

My problem with ketamine is the infusion ends. I feel like I would prefer to stay "there", its so peaceful, no worries, I feel whole, but then the infusion ends, and i'm back to real life.
