I wish they would have put rubber on the heel exposed midsole. It would of made this great shoe even better

Definitely my favoured race shoe at the minute and agree with you totally that you can run a wide range of paces in it without it feeling uncomfortable. The Endorphin Elite just feels like it will work with my stride right until the very end of a Marathon and will use less energy staying in that goal pace range than any other shoe that I have previously worn.

Hope to see those who have given this shoe a chance smash their PB's in it.

The shoe has had a lot of negative criticism, mainly down to its' high price tag and perhaps a preference from many runners towards super squishy foams. I don't think that the HG foam feels firm in the slightest. The Endorphin Pro 3 however was too soft for me, over approx 18 to 20 miles I found the Pro 3 unstable.

I’m a 195lb runner and heard this shoe maybe great for heavier runners. Thoughts?

The tongues on your ones there look the same as my Endorphin Pro 3 & now indeed Vaporfly 3 - tongues virtually touching. My feet are also long (UK 13/US 14) but narrow too. I fear the Endorphin Elite must be wider still so that and the current very high RRP has rather put me off picking up a pair. Good to hear that the shoe per se seems good however. A friend of mine ran a PB 2:55 marathon in them the other week and so he obviously raves about them but not seen overly much other race usage yet. Recall one of the RunTesters ran a PB Half Marathon in them but kind of oddly basically said he did not like them even so as bit uncomfortable. So these or the Vaporfly 3 for Boston then? Good luck whatever.

Hey Matt, big footed runner here! How’s the length of the shoe? Does it feel slightly long, or short? Or is it true to size. The reason I ask is because I have skinny feet like you. Unfortunately my true to size is 13.5, but that does not exist, so I usually go for 14. You said the shoe is high volume, so it sounds like it won’t be for me, unless you think it may fit me in a size 13. Cheers if you read this! For reference, most shoes don’t work for me in 13, but I’m wondering if the toebox is wide/long enough just for races only.

Hello Matt, would you recommend building a shoe rotation around Pebax Powered(R) shoes? (e.g., Speed 3 for tempo & threshold, Topo Cyclone 3 for hills/speed/fartlek. Alphafly or Elite for race day). Thanks

I wear a size 14 and have been running in them for the past 2 days... not a Plush and "cushiony" as the Alphafly 2

Saucony released a brown pink color way of this model and I am smitten by it.

My favorite shoe right now. It just checks all the boxes for me, and I feel great while running in them. Legs feel good afterwards. I love the Nike Alphafly 1, which has been my go to for just about everything in the past. These do not leave me wanting in the least. For me these have been a wonderful addition.

Good review. I am looking forward to your impressions after Boston if you happen to run in them (you were leaning towards them). Good luck in Boston. 🍀

I am soooo curious about this shoe, but really don’t ‘need’ another racing shoe right now 🙈 There’s an amazing white&gold colorway coming in autumn, so maybe then 😊

The real question now though is: are you taking them to Boston? 😉

I've considered a pair for sure. I'm still on the fence. I got the Pro 3's and ran my Marathon in them, absolutely love them. I also picked up a pair of Asics Metaspeed edge+ shoes and I haven't had much time to put any serious miles on them because I had surgery but the 13 miles I did get on them was amazing as well. I wonder how much more benefit there is in the elite over those 2 shoes.

I also picked up a pair of Asics Superblast this week and I've got the itch to run but I got to wait at least another 2 weeks to let this surgery thing heal. The superblast feels like it will be a amazing non plated addition to my rotation.
