100 AND OUT?! Saucony Endorphin Elite Review After 100 Miles - welcome back to another video and today I am sharing with you my saucony endorphin elite review after 100 miles. This is a shoe that has been absolutely stellar when it comes to races throughout 2023 and into 2024, but has it got any life left in it now that its gone over 100 miles?

How many miles do you have in your saucony endorphin elite?

Good video and I love my elites too 😁 one thing I would say though is the titles and thumbnails are starting to feel a bit like clickbait - implying these shoes might be done after 100 miles just to say “there’s no signs of deterioration” feels odd, same happened with the Speed 4 review so I don’t really trust the titles and I’ll be honest, it makes me want to click the video less

Maybe I’m in the minority and I know it’s for the Youtube algorithm but hey, thought you might like some honest feedback!

They're my wife's favourite race shoe for every distance too. She has about the same wear as you and I'd say she's run a reletively similar distance. She's just picked up another pair on sale too. She went through 2 pairs of Endorphin Pro 3s before these became her go to racers. She still thinks the Pro 3s are great too, but is disappointed by the Pro 4 so far, at least from a performance perspective.

I have 181k so 112miles in mine. I have similar wear to your pair, they still feel good and I will be running a marathon in them tomorrow. For me they might be best at the half marathon distance as I can not run fast enough over the full to get the best out of them. For reference my marathon and half pbs are in this shoe and are 1:24 for the half and 3:15 for the full.

Novel these days to actually use a race shoe for racing :) Clearly works very well for you. I did a parkrun in mine and went well enough but still prefer my Vaporfly 1s but certainly prefer the Elite to the AF3. Did think with the Eliite need to be “on it” so wonder how they would be for a marathon although recall is the marathon shoe of choice for @FilmMyRun

High praise indeed. Glad you've found a shoe that works so well for you.

Very excited about version 2 as well. Looks like they simplified the upper by removing the strange bands around the heel and under the laces. The upper did the job but if they can somehow save some weight that would be amazing.

I'm I the only one who washes their shoes after each run? 😅

I bought the pro 4 first and instantly fell in love. I use it for my daily runs and just bought the elite. It fits good too. I bought the speed 4 and it was way too tight in the toe box.

Great vlog 🙌🏽. I ran 7 marathons in 7 days recently in an older pair of Endorphin speed 3s and then retired them sadly. (Still walk about in them though 🥳). I never have a specific mileage to retire my super shoes like the AFs but gone by feel. I’m still training in some OLD Alphafly 1s, they’ve done well, over 400miles.

Really like these, only have 60 miles of running (hard runs but still), upper is great, exposed midsole is shredded though

I tried those, but they were just at a demo day so it was like on our treadmill and it was hard to tell any difference for me now one thing you said that I love is when the next generation comes out and if they haven’t changed a lot you can still buy that old version for like ridiculous. One of my favorite trail shoes Saucony peregrine 13, in the us it was $140. Well the 14 came out and I talked to some demo rep and everything like that and they said there’s really no difference except for a little bit of stuff on the upper in the 14th. I said went to Amazon bought the 13 for about half price probably should’ve bought more pairs and they still have them for that price so I guess I still can but they last a long time soso this is great. I always wait till the following year and the shoes still good and if they haven’t changed the world it’s a great deal.

Mine are on 73 miles of racing since March. I wore them chasing you down at Dymock (didn't help 😂). But they are breaking PBs in every race for me. Roll on Gloster 10k.

Great Video! Thoughts on these as a Marathon shoe, I need to get a good time in Chicago and I'm tempted by these, but everyone keeps saying not for a Marathon as they are firm and over 26 miles they would become very uncomfortable. In terms of comfort how do they compare with the AF3, I'm a forefoot striker looking to run sub 2:55 in Chicago.

Hi Andy, hm I'm really thinking to buy a pair. I've seen that they're stiff, but maybe it's not so terrible as it was compared with AF V3. But, looks they're not comparable indeed, AF V3 are better for HM and marathon, and Elites are the best for 5K to10K distances. I'm a bit hesitating as I also like brande new Asics Metaspeed Sky Paris, so to buy 2 pretty expensive shoes, tjough Asics PAris have great price for racing shoe for €250. But, elites are now on my wish list at the first place together with MEtaspeed Sky Paris. Thanks a lot Andy!

I've been looking for a faster race option to pair with my AF V3, while I find the AF V3 handles all distances, it does seem a bit too much for 5/10k. Tempted to try the Asics Metaspeed Paris line, since I seem to get along really well with Asics. But the Endo Elite has always intrigued me with the different heel cup design they are using, which would probably solve all the heel lift issues I get with Saucony. As much as I have loved the AF line, I did experience alot of heel wear from times I fatigued in races/training. The AF V1/2 at 220km have very clear heel wear, where the rubber pads didn't line up well with my foot strikes. But the AF V3 at 120 KMs are nearly zero wear on the outsole. And I'm trying to force myself to use this same pair for fall marathon, and then reassess.

I have 24 miles on mine (white and gold) I have not raced, just tried them out on a a long run and intervals. While I am heavy on shoes these are pretty much box fresh, I was waiting to finsh 300_ miles in my last pair of pro 3's before using the elite's in anger . They will get their first outing next Sunday at at the Freckleton Half Marathon in Lancs, and I plan to wear them for Cardiff in the autumn .. perhaps the south ribble 10k at Christmas? depending on conditions .

I got a pair in the new colour way a few months ago and they’re class looking. I’ve only raced a 10k and 5k in them. I did two PB’s in them. I’m a little nervous racing a half in them because they’re harder on the feet than Nike runners. They’re a highly aggressive shoe and the tip forward effect has me worried about injuries if the distance is too far in them. One thing that can’t be denied is the speed factor from them. I’ve a fast HM in August I’ll try them out and if I can avoid blisters in them I’ll wear them for Valencia in December.

Strictly for racing, I’ve had 2 marathons on them and hold my marathon PR in them. That said, my 2nd marathon was a rainy one and these diverted my focus away from the run and towards not slipping on toe-off. Specifically on painted pavement or smoother concrete. Otherwise, great shoe and still in use for races. The midsole also helps shorten my post-marathon recovery time and keeps me functional the hours and days post-marathon.
