How to paint Blood Angel and Blood Raven armor on the new 9th Edition Assault Intecessor Space Marines. We dive back into the 'Eavier than Metal style videos, with a twist - because I still owe you a couple of different Space Marine chapters that were requested for this series. Hopefully you will learn a few new tricks if you are an intermediate miniature painter and it should give you a solid idea what colors to use and where to put your highlights if you are a beginner miniature painter. If you have any questions, let me know in the comments and let me know what the next space marine chapter I should paint!

Was never interested in the blood angels paint scheme but you just turned a boring 1 color scheme into a wonderful piece of eye candy.

Damn Bloody Magpies! Now they "borrowed" an entire chapter!

Man, there is something so satisfying about wathching you move around the brush. A point so sharp and precise, and your way of moving the paint around.

I hope for that level of control one day. I still haven't painted a single space marine in my life, and I think it's time to change that. I need to try and get one, and paint it to a high standard.

Gotta say, I really loved this video. I'm not up to this standard of painting, but if you ever feel shitty about your painting and saying yourself "I'm not that good." Just add "yet" to the end of it. I was actually quite chuffed with myself with realising how many of these techniques I dont realised I've picked up myself.

It blows me away how much depth you get with such a small number of paint choices.

Really enjoy highlighting reds and blacks with flesh tones, can't wait to try it out myself.

The main thing I enjoy about your painting is its more realistic looking than GWs cartoony bright colors. Between you, Vince, Marco, Zack, Cult of Paint and a few others my skills have drastically improved over the last couple of years.

I agree with Jacktor...the rich n deep hues of that color spectrum deserve more attention (and this is the man to pull it off)

I'd love to see you go over painting a dark purple. Everyone I've seen paints the same bright purple that's a little too pinky for me

This is one of the best NMM and highlight tutorials I have seen on 40K models. Great job!

My lord!! Completely amazing in regards to the understanding of light reflection, highlighting, shading, color-placement, etc... overwhelming my friend. Thank you for sharing your work. Always remember to stay humble as you were given a great gift.

I was flamed in an online forum for having the highlight at the top of the four exhausts on the backpack. Feels vindicating to see you portray it this way too. Cheers!

absolutely amazing and an excellent atmosphere to the mini! I love how the red came out, and the eyes look brilliant.

There is a nice side effect of rewatching your videos, and that is: I get the urge to paint more ;D Thanks.

Best Blood Angel miniature I could find on Youtube so far.

The smoothness of the paint on the shoulders is just magic. If I use a white colour or bone on a marine's shoulders it just goes NOPE. Feels like I either use too much water and it washes everywhere, or not enough and it goes blotchy/streaked. Incredible work.
